2011, a retrospective

2011 was an interesting year for me. Time for a review of the big shootings I had this year.
Yesterday I finished my big Project for this year.
I started it December 2010 together with Photographer and Make-up artist Bella Pictures with "Blue Cupcakes" and I finished it yesterday with "Pink Cupcakes"

I found a new muse and new friend.
Model Elena Bauer. She become my "main model" this year I had a lot of shootings with her.

I was featured on PhotoVogue Italia with 2 images

In July I was asked from "Modelakademie" Model Agency, to do a Testshooting with 2 of their Models: Joe and Ivette

A girl from Canada came to me for a shooting in July too ( and I'm featured in "World of Photography Vol.2" with one of the images.

Since July, you can buy a limited edition of my 7 deadly sins prints from 2010. The Project was exhibited at Photokina 2010 and stolen.

In August I finally get the chance to made a horse shooting. I wanted to do this years ago, but never had someone with horses. But Maddy organized a meeting with a horse owner for me.
Model was Mara and Hair and Make-up Artist was Ina Weiershäuser

In September I was booked by Fashion Designer Stefanie Joachim ( Mode nach Maß) and together with Jana from FavoriteModels and Ina Weiershäuser we shooted the images for Stefanies new Flyer ( Design by me too)

In October I had 2 big shootings:
At first a collboration with Berlin Based Fashion Designer Duo "HYPNOSIS-Berlin"
Model was Elena and HairStylist and Assistent Maddy

The second one was organized by elena.
She get in touch with Frankfurt Based fashion Designer Marco Marcu and we get a Testshooting for his.
I'm hoepfull to shoot a few of his dresses again in 2012. I adore his designs.

In November one of the images from the Shooting for Stephanie Joachim was featured in UK "Professional Photographer" Magazine.

This month I had a Testshooting with Samantha from FavoriteModels Agency

and was featured in UKs " World of Photography Vol.2" Bookazine.

I'm now looking forward to 2012, because of a special issue from a german photographer magazine, where I'll be featured.
( I get the news yesterday and was totally over the moon) I will tell you more next year when the issue is out.

I wanna thank all the amazing people I met and worked with in 2011 and hope we will see us again in 2012.

Fashion Shoot with HYPNOSIS-Berlin

I meet Matthias Jahn month ago via ModelMayhem and asked if he could lend me a few pieces of his new collection for a shooting.

Fashion Shoot with Marco Marcu

A few weeks ago Elena goes in touch with Fashion Designer Marco Marcu (http://www.m-marcu-fashiondesign.de) and organised a meeting for us in his atelier in Neu Isenburg.
On wednesday Elena and me made our small journey via train. A really bad day for train journeys because 1. a few train conductor go on strike and 2. there was a accident on our line.
So the first 3 trains fail out and the next trains had delays and we need nearly 4 hours to Neu Isenburg instead of 1.

On thursday Elena and me meet us for the Shooting at Villa Grün in Dillenburg.
I always love this location.
As I started as a photographer I used this and the area around it nearly everytime as location.

First of all in our local newspaper are 8 portraits I made a week ago for a model competition in my hometown.
Tomorrow will be the competition.

Earlier this year i had a meeting with a local fashion designer to show her my portfolio and maybe get her as a new client.
A few weeks ago she called me and we had a meeting.
Today was the shooting for her new Flyer.

We meet us at the Atelier for Hair & Make-up and a short briefing.

After a fitting we drove to the location.
We had a little trouble there, because the Designer and me misunderstood us so so was on the wrong location.
One of the points because noone of us will forgett this shooting^^

After a little waiting time and a phone call later we meet us on the right location and started with the shooting.

BTS Horse Shooting

All right, it's time for a little BTS Blog Post from my first Horse Shooting.
I planed this shooting such a long time and everytime we want to shoot it, we haven't much luck with the wather or one of the members hadn't time.
I dreamed from a horse shooting long ago and then my lovable Maddy told me she knew somebody who have horses and asked her if we can use them for a shooting.

Shooting with Kayla: July 2nd 2011

I was very exited as I get a mail from a girl from canada in tjis june.
Kayla was in Germany for the summer and she asked me for a shooting. Of course I said yes ^^
We meet us on 2nd July with our MUA Lisa at the trainstation in Haiger.
At first it was a bit confusing talking english all the time. ( even I realized it's easier to give posing instructions in english then in german ^^)

I realized that I didn't wrote an entry for a long time.
I only had two shootings this months, used the other time for a bit vacation and relaxing.

The first shooting was a testshooting for a ModelAgency called "Modelakademie" on July 1th 2011.
It's located in Hanau Germany and the booker get in contact with me a while ago, asked, if i'm interested in testing a few of his models.

at first I planed to make an outdoor shooting, but then it rained all the day so we made a indoor shooting.

For this shooting I worked again with Ina Weiershäuser ( www.ina-weiershaeuser.de ).

Sandstone Area Shooting

Had a great and very very taxing shooting with Jana on Friday.
we went to a sandstone area. Wonderful location.
Very difficult for Jana to get a fix stand because everytime she makes a pose the sand slipped away.
The day ended with more than a hand full of amazing images, a McDonals Milkshake to fight the enormous heat and our clothes fll of sand.

Quick update: May 2011

It's May!
Spring, Flowers,Sunshine, and green green green.
That means: Outdoorshootings for my portfolio.
After all the month of bad and cold weather I can't see my studio at the moment. I'm still shooting indoor but at the moment I prefere the natural light when I have the chance. Especially for my Portfolio.

This month the winner of the "Literaturland Hessen" Photography Competition will be choosen.
My work "Rumpelstilzchen" I shooted with Mara and her ferret for my fairytale project last year is in the competition.

Next week I'll have a meeting with a gallery owner.
Maybe another chance for an exhibition. I'm a bit nervous.
The style of the photographer and artist I saw on her flyer are the total opposite from my style.
I get her number from a friend of my Mum who know her and told her a bit of me
(Especially my Story of the stolen artworks at the Photokina last year).
The gallery owner was "very interested" and wanted that I call her asap and so we managed a date for a meeting.
But the fact is: I think she had never seen my work before and if my style didn't fit to her gallery or she didn't like it this could become a little disaster.

I even have a meeting with a Model from Berlin this month. She' ll visiting her family near my hometown and so she asked me, if I have time for coffee and maybe a shooting. Let's see!

Yesterday I meet Angelique, a Model and Photographer from my hometown.
We both where a bit astonished that we didn't meet before, even we have a few similarities.

New Muse

I found my new Muse.
The wonderful Model Elena Bauer.
I shooted her a month ago for the Cakes Project.
Yesterday she called me if I had time and would shoot with her again.
So we meet us a few ours later.
At first we took a few shoots in the studio with a baroque HairStyling, tulips and black pearls.
As we realized that we had a lot of time till her train back home goes, we decided to go outdoor and making a few photos with natural light.
I love natural light. I will always love it more than studio light, even the studio light is easier and more comfortable to handle than natural light.
After the outdoor shoot we went back to the studio and shoot a few photos there again.

And now: Retouching work!!!
IT#s a long time ago that I had so much fun retouching photos...

Very nice guys. Had a funny day.
Realized that the months of Studio shootings spoilt me a bit because of the unchanging lighting conditions.

Had my last planed shootings for the month yesterday.
The next days and weeks I'll spending with redecorating my flat, organizing new shootings and retouching older work.
A Bandshooting will come in the next weeks: First outdoor Shooting this year ( YES!!!!)

Had two new shootings for my smoke series yesterday.
At 11 o'clock my the first Model Jasmin arrived at my home with a bag full of bap.
Maddy my Hair Stylist for the day arrived a few minutes later and so we started with a huge breakfast.

After this we started with the Hairstyling for Jasmin.

Maddy did a great job with the hair as always.
I made the make-up again.

little update

It's just a little update.
I'm looking foreward for great projects this year. Most of them are still visions in my head.

At the moment I'm working on two project.
One is the "Cake me" Project with Bella Pictures and the other one is a very private "Smoke" Series.
A black&white series from smoking Divas ( I'm not pro cigarettes, but they are a wonderful accessoire for photographs!!)
I call it "very privat" because after a long time of working only with big teams, including Make-up Artist and assistents, I'm alone with the model here.
Sometimes it's really nice when there's only you and the model and no one else around, especially when you know all the models you're shooting with and have a good realationship to them.

I had a lot of Testshootings with Bella Pictures for our upcoming "Cake me" Project.
It's amazing how many adorable girls and women live around my hometown.

I started a test with the cake styling this weekend. I used Maddy who is my assistent since a few months as a model for the christmas Cookies ( Cinnamon stars)

I made the Applepie-Cake with Mara, you all know her as Rumpelstilzchen from my fairytale Project, but to it later.
I will remade the Applepie Shoot, next year, beause I'm not so happy with the results after the Christmas cookie Shoot.

This year was amazing for me. I was exhibit at Photokina 2010 in cologne in September with my "7deadly sins" Project from the early year. All my printed images are stolen there.

In November I was exhibit with the same Project in my hometown and I get my diploma in photography/photodesign.

Fairytale Shooting

Yesterday Kate and me had our first shooting for our upcoming fairytale project.
We used Antje and Mara as Models. Both from our Modelscouting testshoots.
Two wonderful faces and personalities.
The Shooting was short, but chaotic in the preperation. My flat was full of animals.
Bunnies and ferrets for the shootings and Maras and Kates dogs.
During the Make-up and hair process, Onk was there as a kind of "animalsitter".
As assistants on location we had Lena and Maddy again.
The dresses are designed and made by Maddy and Mara

My team:

We shooted "Alice" and "Rumpelstiltskin" this day.
The shooting itself was very short. And I have so amazing images.
Can't wait to show they.

As we arrived at hall 5.1 I must see, that my prints were stolen.
I know from a woman that it was a men who take them away.

Photokina 2010

Kate and me where at Photokia 2010 this year on Wednesday 22th and Thursday 23th September 2010.
Here are a few words and a lot of photos from these two days.
At first I wanna share another Behind the scene Photos from the setup with you:

I think the most of you all have seen how amazing the hall was. It was intressting for us to see how dirty and chaotic it was only two days befor Photokina started. All the people there did such great jobs and made a wonderful place from this chaotic hall I saw on Sunday.

So, but back to my two days there:
We came with the train from Haiger. Our journey takes nearly 2 hours.

At the Photokina we looked at the Canon stand for the new camera models and I finally have my desicion if I should buy the 5D or 1DMark III. My next Camera will be the 5D. The 1DMark is to heavy and to big for me. ( and the 5D fits perfectly in my handbag, because I hate Camerabags!)

We enjoyed the sun at the Photokina Piazza, drunk Vanilla Latte and enjoy the diurnal bird of prey show.

Then we went to hall 5.1 - both totally nervous- and searched my stand.

It was amazing to see all the wonderful exhibition at Photokina 2010.
So many wonderful photographers and their photographies! Simply inspireing!

We moved on to hall 9 where we visited the workshop from Steve Thornton.
It was interessting. Especially because we saw that even Top Photographers only cooking with water.
It was good for the selfconfidence to see that not every photo from him was perfect and that everyone can be on top of the world if you work hard enough for it.

We talked with representatives from Bowens and Broncolor and met a lot of nice people, young and old, who started with their photography carrer a few months ago and get a lot of new tipps and tricks.

We come to the desicion, that we will open our own studio next year.
At the end of the day we both where totally tired. Made a few photos at the trainstation, fell in our beds and slept long and good, till the next morning.

THURSDAY

On the second day we drove later at the noonday to Photokina.

This time we went straight to the Photokina Piazza, enjoyed the sun and waited for a call from Dóri who wanted met us there.

As Dóri called me we met us in hall 5.1

After a walk we went back to the Piazza and enjoyed the sun again.
We met this two lovely girls from Netherlands and the two where so nice to be our Models for a few quick photos.

Then a few guys from India and Turkey came to us and ask if they could make photos from us.
We said yes and a few minutes ago whe where surrounded by people with Cameras and iPhones and take photos from us.

It was time to go to Photokina Party. Nice Location. I wanna do Photoshootings in future there.
The food was amazing. Looked good and tasted better!

We left the Party very early for our train. But we had to wait a bit more then an hour then and so we bought us the new Vogue and a Caramel Coffee Frappucchino and spend the first time reading.

But then we get bored and so we made Photos....

I'm a bit sad that it's not possible for me to be there today and tomorrow.
Even when jamari lior and ophelia overdose have a workshop for modelposing.

Photokina 2010 setup

Today was the day. The setup for Photokina 2010.
I woke up early in the morning ( befor my alarm clock rung). Couldn't eat or drink something. Was totally nerous, like I was the last days.
At 9 o'clock Kate and Onk arrived. A little bit later my Mums Friend Brigitte with her son.
Because of the fact that my parents are in vacations for 3 weeks and couldn't help me with the setup she was so kind to help me out.
So we drove to Cologne. As we arrived in the Hall where my exhibition is, I realized that there wasn't the lettering from my Name and exhibition title.
Again I wanna thank all the nice people from the Köln Messe who were so kind and phoned to the Marketing to ask where the lettering was, and opened an special entry only for us.

We need a long time for the 7 photos. I think it was only because everyone wanted to make it right and perfect for me. I was so overwhelmed that I stood there the most time paralysed and so I only stood there as an assistant.

It was great to see all the 7 images on the wall. I'm hopefull that nothing will break when the personal from photokina making the lettering over the images tomorrow.

Yesterday Kate and I had a new testshooting with two beautiful Models we found on the street ( or in this case: In a supermarket and a Pub): Lena and Antje
We made a few portraits with different styles. I personally fell in love with Antje. An adorable and nice blond girl.

My September

I'm totally exited, busy and a chaotic this month.
Had a big meeting today for the Exhibition " art in the city" in my hometown.
From Octobre till november a few of my 7 deadly sins pieces will be exhibit in a paint store and the hole project is exhibit nearly a week in the town hall.

On sunday I'm driving to cologne together with Onk and Kate for the preparatory work for Photokina 2010.
From September 21 till 26 you can see my 7 deadly sins in Hall 5.1 Stand H-014.
On September 22 and September 23 Kate and me will be at the Photokina, and the Photokina Party.

I'm looking foreward for a few new photoshootings. Hopefull the weather will be good so that we can take the images outside the studio. Was a bad summer for taking photos.

I'm also searching new stylist, MUAs and Dress- or Accessoir-Designer for upcoming shootings who like to coloborate with me.

My Year of Exhibitions

After I was published two times in magazins last year. I will exhibit this year two times!
As I told you yesterday : my "7 deadly sins" project is shown on the Photokina 2010 from 21.09.-26.09.2010
Since today it's clear that the same project will be exhibit from 25.10.-07.11.2010 in Haiger for "Kunst in der Stadt" (Art in the city).
The Second exhibition will be in different shops and restaurants in Haiger and from 04.11.-07.11.2010 in the city hall.

London

I'm back in Germany right now and my baggage I have a lot of inspirations from London.
I had a wonderful time there, even when I only used the trip for side-seeing and for meetings with other creatives. but this will come next time.
I felt in love with this city. Felt in love with the different types of human and different types of styling. simply inspiring.

I used to join Covent Garden and Camden. Wonderful places.
Loved all the little details in Campden and on the shop frontages there.

And of course, I visited Madame Tussauds

Me on the Millenium Bridge. I like the look of the bridge since I saw it first time in Harry Potter 6.

I'm hopefull to come back to London in the near future. But first I must organize all the new ideas in my mind and organize a few new shootings and maybe one or two Exhibitions for the end of the year.

After the first two Ice Cream Shootings I decided that this will be my summer project.
Its so different to my regular shootings, so it makes really fun.
Next Ice will be strawberry and on friday I have a fashion and portraitshooting with Mina and Kate ( this time as my assistent) By the way: Congrats to your new job Kate.

My Vanilla Ice is ready....
And I used it for a quick shooting
But to the start:
On tuesday my Mum and me went shopping and we found a book with different ice recipe.
So I started yesterday with Vanilla ice. And today I made( or better I'm still making walnut-maple syrup ice.
So, while my walnut-maple syrup ice is in the freezer for 2 hours, I tasted the vanilla ice from yesterday... *YUMMY*
And because of the fact that I love food photography from cooking-books and the fact that in this ice-book aren't so good photos. I tried the first time to photograph food.

And because the facts that I
a) love ice
b) think cooking and baking is very inspiring
c) I need a new project

I will try to create my own ice recipe and make my own ice-making-book. ( I'm sure next week I'll forgett this idea XD)

Something or nothing

Orginally I should fly to London in 7 days.
Family and side-seeing holiday with my Mum.
Now my Mum is still in the hospital. The doctors strike.... and we can nothing do then waiting...

I get a call due to my exhebition in september. It's still unclear, They had a few queations. But if I understood the woman on the phone right, I'm in the last round of the selection.
I'm very hopefull... If I'm finally in the selection, it could be the best thing for my previous career as a photographer.

Great a picnic with Onk, Kate and Maddy.
We had too much to eat:
Watermelons, different cakes, muffins, bread rolls, mousse au chocolat, sausages, etc.

We sat in the sun, eating, talking, playing "Black Stories" and "Magic-the Gathering".
When the weather gets colder we go home and sung karaoke and watching a few episodes of "Buffy-The Vampire Slayer"

Last weeks

I was very busy in the last weeks.
Feels like I wasn't home for more then an hour per day.
While I have a full-time job as mediadesigner for earning money to finance my photography equipment and lifestyle I study fotodesign over a photography institut via Internet. The last weeks I spend a lot of time for my photography study, meeting with friends, who are modelling for me and trying to reset an image from a photographer I adore.
I choose an image of Emma Watson made by Rankin ( I totally love his photographs!!!!)

In the other time I meet friends, my favorite day was last friday, when I meet my best friends for years. I didn't see her for nearly 5 years because she's the ex opf my ex's best friend. And after they break up, we didn't see us very much and our contakt sleeps for a while.
Now, after I broke up with my ex, we have contact again. And it was like in past, like the 5 years we hadn't contact didn't exist. It was an amazing and wonderfull day.
And it's amazing that we both can say, we are still close friends.
And then I spend the hole weekend with my Mom, shopping, watching DVDs and visited the "Landesgartenschau" 2010 in hemer with my family. Even we're living in the same house we didn't have much time for each other. So I enjoy this mother/daughter days very much.

This week I have testing vacations. Because I'm in London in June, my temporary personnel must learn to be alone at the office.
At 14 o`clock I meet Kati and a Model for a beauty shoot.
I'm exited for this, because it's the first shooting in my life I didn't organize anything. Kati need a few shoots for her portfolio as MUA and asked me, if I like to be the photographer for this time.
We worked two times together during my 7 deadly sins project.

And, my personal joy for this week: I think I'll finally will buy me an iPhone this week!
I wan't one for years, but I hadn't the money for it. Or thefulltime-job to be shure to have money for the flatrate in future.

Creative Day

Had a great day with my girls yesterday.
9 hour photoshooting, a lot of coffe, a lot of fun .
Kate and me build a new creative team. Model and photographer, because we both think we are an amazing team. We have a different style of photography, but great ideas together. And Kate is a wonderful Make-up Artist too XD

We had a lot of fun with wigs, ballons. totally crazy, totally us XD
And, my total joy of the day: Kate made amazing Portraits from me.
Like the most photographers I didn't like to be in front of the camera.

Yesterday I had the final shoot for my seven deathly sins project: LUST
My friend Sarah was the female model. It was the first time she was modelling.

After the shooting I meet Kate and the photographer and consulting engineer Oliver Mandic.
We sat in a little coffee in the shopping centre in our city, drunk Latte Macciato and talked about the photography industry.
At the evening Kate and me caught Onk and we sit for a few hours in our favorite Pub, drinking cocktails.

Today I had the second shooting of my 7 deadly sins project.
This day I was shooting laziness, arrogance and enviousness.
At 8.20 a.m. I drove to Dillenburg to pick up my assistent Onk and my first model Yuliya.

At 9 o'clock our MUA Kati ( kawasi) and her assistent Anna arrived and started with the Make-up and Hait for laziness.

During this time our second model Dòri and my second assistent Kate arrived.

3 of 7 deadly sins Part I

Yesterday I had the first shooting of my 7 deadly sins project.
This day I was shooting gluttony, rage and avarice.
The day bevor I baked 80 Muffins with my Mom for the gluttony shooting.

I had dresses from two designers. The first one was Fräulein Mieze and the second "Isago Couture" by Isabell Goder

My bedroom was converted in our shoe cabinet.
Onk was there as my assistent and helping hand. And made the most behind the scene photos.

While our MUA Elisabeth Berrens was making Isys Hair and Make-up Onk and me made Kates Nails for the rage shooting.

During this time Onk, Kate and me prepared the treasure chest (made by my Dad) for the avarice shooting.

Today the lovely and very talented Calisto Photography was so kind to send me the page of the magazin with my photo.

As you see, there is a little mistake. Instead of "Kiara Katharina Schimmel" or "Kiara Black Photography" the Magazin wrote "Kiara XD" as the photographer

First days of the new year

I think, this year could be very great!
I have a new job! The print office, where I made my education as a mediadesigner couldn't take me after my education. But now my training supervisor has a new job in an other office and so they asked me, if I would have his job!!!
Totally amazing!

I'm planing a big Photoproject for this year, with many models, a few MUAs and Hairstylist and maybe one or two fashion designer.
It will begin in the time of march.

I'm very hopefull that this project could be puplished in magazins.
So if you are a Designer with a bit extraordinary clothings and accessories, living in Germany and are interested, to be a part of this project, don't be shy and ask.

tonights highlight: Isy and me at the bank. A little mouse shooed over. We cowered beside the mouse and feed it with potato chips and looked how the cute mouse ate it. Then a police car stopped behind us and the 2 police officers asked " What are you doing there?!" We both " Feed a mouse with chips!" They looked at us like we're mentally ill.

Zwiebelmarkt Weimar

From October 9th till today I staid by friends and visited the "Zwiebelmarkt" ( onion market).

I love Weimar. It's one of the most beautiful cities in Germany.... So many old houses... so many history...
On Friday we looked around it at the day. And yesterday night we go at the night around because of the different music festivals... but it was raining so much...

On Saturday, September 12th I celebrate my birthday.
Had a lot of fun, although Daniel and me had a fight and have a relationship break time at the moment.
Must think about a lot of stuff, about my future for a family, friends and my career...

On my birthday i made a cocktail party. My brother played the barkeeper and he made great cocktails XD
Mona brought her karaoke micro to the party, and so we sung the most time ( If you cold call it "singing" XD)

Gautschfest ( couching festival)

Yesterday I had, together with 10 of my classmates, my big ceremonial.
The "Gautschfest" ( couching festival) at Neu Ansbach at the "Hessenpark"
It's an very old tradition for Mediadesigner and Printer.
It started that the "Kornut" ( that was me and my classmates) will be put at a stool with a wet sponge. Then "Spongeholder" makes you wet with an other sponge over your head. After this 2 people catch you and let you fall in a tub full of water ( and it was cold!) and will dump two bucket full of water over your head again.
I screamed like someone wanna kill me XD But it was so funny!!!!

After nearly a year, Isy and me met again for a photoshooting.
We went into the forest near her house. There is a wonderful place with old stones and meteorites into a little lake.
Because of the last hot days without rain, the lake was empty, so we could go to the stones and take a few photos there.
I'm hopefull to do somre photos there again, when the lake is full of water.

We finished the day with an icecream in a cafè and we forgett the time.
We sat there 3 hours, and talked about so much stuff. Lovely day

Bealtic Sea Holidays

My 5 Days at the Baltic Sea started with a road trip across Germany on Monday morning.
After 7 hours on the road my mother and me arrived Kellenhusen. Our first step there goes to the beach.

On the second day, we drove at first to Heiligenhafen and made a short sight-seeing.

Then we drove to the island Fehmarn. Visited there an aquarium with sharks and tropical fishes. Very interessting, very beautiful.
Sharks are so amazing animals.

After that we drove across the island to the City/Village Pudgardn and watched the ferrys from the scanline there.

We eat at small restaurant on the beach and waited there 3 hours for the sunset...

The third day we were totaly lacy and rest on the beach at Kellenhusen.
On thurday we visited Lübeck.

The last day was a bit rainy. We went to Grömitz. Was there at the 7th class with my old school.

On saturday morning we drove back home.

From tomorrow till 12th of July I'll making holidays at the baltic sea with my mother.
I'm hopefull to come a bit down. The last month were so stressy wuth all the exams and test...

Germanys Next Topdesigner

Today we had our result day and get our certifications themed " Germanys Next Topdesigner"
It was so funny. We had an orange carpet and our teacher and the examination board sat in front of us, on a orange table.
Then our teacher comes, dressed like a charlady and said, that the IHK couldn't paid for Heidi Klum, so she must di the job.
Everyone of us get called, and she said some funny things about each person.
Then we must walk about the carpet, our catwalk, and get our credentials.
I'm the best from my IHK.. Can't believe it... I had such a bad feeling.

Today my class made our "Abschlussfrühstück" in Gießen.
At 10 o'clock we meet us at "Mr.Jones" and had breakfast together. as a funny day. I think they'll never sold so much Latte Macciatto as on this day XD

We made a little book. One page about every person in our class. And everybody must write a sentence to everybody. It seems, that the most of my classmates think about me only 3 things:
Pink, High Heels and Photography!
One of my classmates is going to live in London in October. And I think about going to London again.
I'm not sure what the time will bring. The next days I'll made "holidays".
Hopefull to drive to the lake with friends this weekend.
Saturday we have "Altstadtfest".

Darmstadt

This morning my mom and me drove to Darmstadt for the test at the university.
It rained all the day.... Stopped at a roadhouse for a cup of coffee

At university I meet my classmate Julia.
Made a quick photo for my Teacher with the little clock she gaved us for our final exams.

Then we sitt there in a room for nearly 4 hours...
So much people.... Must draw a lot of stuff.

At first they want to know some things about us " What's your favorite: Photographer/Artist and architect and why"
What's your favorite font and wich not.
What's your favorie logo and wich not...
and so things...

Then we must go around the university and draw 2 scribbles with the theme hard and soft.
The third thing was a metamorphose from as example a "m" to a "K"

Forth: make a Cover for a magazin with the main theme "Village/city"
Fifth: Drawing " men in darkness"
sixth: reading a text and give them a headline...
and I forgotten one....

Today I made the last photos for my university portfolio I need on Monday.
From 12.00pm till 18.30pm my family and neighbours come to me, and I made funny portraitures from them.
I was inspired by Andrew Farringtons "One Hat Wonders"

My exams are over.
Yesterday I finished my practical one.
So it was time for another photoshooting XD

Last tuesday I meet my classmate Marina. Made some portraiture shoot of her, for her boyfriends.
We take the photos outside, where I made the Cage Shooting with Kate last year.

On saturday Tina and Mona, both with short hair now. and they look so good....
Beeing a bit jelouse.... but I don't know if short hair will fit to my...

At first we go to an old industrial area, but there the light wasn't so good. And we three decided to go in the free nature..
So we traveled to the field and little beck where I made the shooting with Marina days befor.
Have a lot of fun, like always. But I realised I need a new lens for my camera.

I don't feel good....
At the moment I can't wait till the day is over...
My live is totally chaotic at the moment. and not possitiv.
I must learn for my final exams in May, but in my family the time stands still...
my grandpa has leukemia and will die during the next days.
He bring me up till I was 12 years. It's hard for me to see him so breakable and pale now.
Everytime when the phone rings at home or at work my heart hurts and I think "No it happend!"

Yesterday was not our day....
The night was to short because of a metal concert from Chris band...
So Chris, Tina and me were very tired the morning... Not the best thing for making photos......
But we make a few nice ones....
It was the first time Chris was modelling for me. A very handsome guy...
He and Christina fit perfectly together.

I still need some landscape photographys for my fotodesign portfolio....
Yesterday the sun was burning and it was such a nice day, so my mom, Daniel and me drive around the Westerwald in Hessen, searching for some nice lake..
We found the Wiesensee. It was very nice there... I had a little holiday feeling XD

Then I realized again: I need a new lens.....
Must spend money XD

Today I'll do my last shooting for a longer time, because my final exams are in 8 weeks now. And after this I have 2 weeks to write my conseption for the praktical examina...
From May 2 till June 15 I can send my portfolio to the university in munich....
I'm so hopefull that they will give me the chance to learn there more about photography and photography design...

Final Exams and Mac

OMG!!
Didn't wrote for a long time...
In 12 weeks I have my final exams so I must learn a much stuff..
The main part is media design. There I have no problem but in the second part I must now all the stuff from media operator, web-design.. etc... and this is a much...

And then my MacBook Pro arrived today!!!
It's the first time I own a Mac.. And I love it....

And my sweet and beloved friend Christina is making me a new Coroperate Design for "Kiara Black Photography" And I love what I had seen last week...
After my exams I will make my website new with the new Design...
Is so lovable!!!!

AH! By the way... I'm colored my hair brown.... It looks very good.. but not like me... My father dosn't recognized me when I was in Frankfurt in starbucks and he searched for me XD

Car Accident

I'm a bit shocked...
Some minutes ago Daniel and me had an accident with his car in Haiger.
It was so flush..... we rotate 90° and crashed into a street lamp....
I hate the police..... These two ******** who came, because we must payed 35€ for "driving too fast" ( yeah! Exactly... 20km/h is very very fast.....!!!)
But with the accident why they are coming for, we had nothing to do with!

Studio Shooting with Kate

I was so exited the last days.
After some month Kate and I meet again and made a shooting in my studio.
We love to try extreme make-up and hair styles.

This time we made some photos with a blond Rapunzel wig and a red wig.
It was funny, because Kate dosn't look like her with this wigs XD

I'm back from my Rome vacations.
I was very fascinated by this city....
My favorit day was in the Villa Borghese.
The sculptures from Bernini...
Oh I love Bernini... His sculptures looks so real. I stand in front of "Pluto and Proserpina" and waited that Pluto started to move...

Then some sad things happened.
On of my rats died during my vacations. And the second one died this morning...
So my sweet little Arwen is the last one.
It makes my sad to see how unhappy shes at the moment...
Can't stop crying...

The spanish illustrator David Zucker ( www.devidzuker.es) asked me for my permission to use some of my works for his illustrations.
I'm very exited about this.. And I can't wait to see the finish pieces XD

On August 30th, 2008 I met the Photographer Ralf Löhr for a photoshooting with Tina and Isy.
Our main theme was the fairytale "Goldmarie&Pechmarie".

Paper Dolls Shooting

On July 5th I meet Lis and Isy at Lis' home and together we drove to the Adolfhütte in Dillenburg. It's an old industrial area....
Today there are some rehearsal rooms from different bands, and different small facilities . Some parts of this area (especially the roof) are abandoned and ruinous.
It's my new favorite location.... I love such abandoned places, but here you found such places not so often.
We arrived there at 1 o'clock and started to make the make up and the newspaper clothes for the day.

Didn't write here something for a long time....
Nothing interesting did happen...
A wait... 2 weeks ago I changed with my website to a new server, so I have a new adress: www.kiarablack.de

I get my new computer...
With Windows Vista...
First I must learn to deal with this...
It's different from XP....
Some work lays for me...
All my photos must be transfered from my laptop to the PC.

The last days were a bit boring....
No learning for test till august...
So I made selfportraits with my usual make up...
I think most people wouldn't know me on this photo..
So many people, old friends, didn't see me for some years...
I'm a bit melancholic... hearing Sarah McLachlan "Time" I love this song so much, but its make me melancholic XD

Victorian Style Shooting

This weekend I had a very nice photoshooting wit Eva-Claudine.
We first meet us at the car park in front of the Wilhelms Tower in Dillenburg.
Eva is a very nice person and from the first second we get along each other...
After a small walk we reached the ruins at the tower and started with the make up and the dresses....
This was the first time I made a phtoshooting with my 60€ Violine from ebay...
I can't play Violine, but I love this instrument since I'm a little girl...
And of course, this violine is purple with pink and violette blossoms XD

Eva booked me for a shooting like the art of Victoria Frances..
We dosn't copyed her works, but get inspired at the clothes and make up..
And again I realized: I forgot a small ladder @_@

At the last 30 Minutes a Guide from a touristy-group found us in the shrubbery, and after we are finished and walked along the avenue from the Tower and "Villa Grün" the Group and Guide standed there and the guide said: " Looked at this girls, they made a medival photoshooting with wonderful dresses at the tower! Young Lady, this dress suits you very well!" And then one of the tourist said: "Only the broom is missing"

Is a victorian oder medival shooting automatical a witches shooting???

And after we reached our cars it begins to rain...
